The "shut off" system only dispenses the tea when the brewer is placed on top of a cup (not included) - lift it off and it stops. 

Handy Brew works with loose leaf tea, to make your favourite beverage in just minutes.  The brewer material is a durable plastic, and bpa-free. 

Hand washing is recommended, which will allow the brewer to retain its clarity.
