Meet the Karon Farm team
Luke has been roasting coffee for over 15 years, starting out with a re-purposed bread-maker and heat-gun (a corretto setup for the coffee geeks among us!) before moving on to small home roasters, a Behmor 1600, a Gene cafe and a then a Hottop. In 2015 a commercial drum roaster was purchased and the dream of bringing Karon Farm Coffee to local cafes and individual customers became a reality.
Susanna is an accountant with years of management experience in business both large and small with a passion for agriculture, local products and produce. As a strong advocate of supporting local, she completed the 2019 Leadership Ballarat & Western Region program that creates change, leadership and support in the regions community.
Marcus has joined the team as a jack of all trades, focussing on business development. He has years (too many to count) in the coffee industry, both behind the machine in busy café environments, plus he’s spent hours in the training room and also in roastery management. He’s here to help with onboarding, training, workflow, coffee QC and everything in between!
Nick is in charge of warehousing, packaging and dispatch/delivery. He also wears a second hat as our chief coffee machine technician; after spending years on the tools for various manufacturers and service companies in Melbourne, he brings an absolute wealth of tech knowledge to the team and is here to ensure all of our customer’s machines are in tip-top shape.
Ella is a Miniature Australian Bulldog and is chief of security. She ensures that her staff remain focused all day, every day and that her humans provide snacks upon request.
