Shipping policy

We roast to order in Wendouree and ship Australia wide. Here is what it costs, when it leaves us, and when to expect it.
Shipping rates
- Standard post: $12.50 flat rate.
- Express post: $17.50 flat rate.
- Orders $100 and over: $0.01 flat rate, anywhere in Australia.
- Local delivery, Ballarat and nearby towns: free on orders $35 and over, otherwise $5.
- Local pickup from the roastery: free.
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Some products and bundles carry their own shipping rate, which is shown at checkout before you pay.
When your order is roasted and sent
We roast to order, so your coffee is roasted after you buy it rather than pulled off a shelf. Orders placed before midday on a business day are usually roasted, packed and despatched the same day. Orders placed after midday, or over the weekend, go out on the next business day.
We despatch Monday to Friday. We do not despatch on weekends or public holidays.
Who delivers it
We send orders with Australia Post or Aramex, whichever gets your order to you faster for your address. You will get a tracking link by email as soon as your label is created.
How long it takes
Delivery times are counted in business days from despatch, not from when you placed the order.
Interstate orders usually arrive within 3 to 10 business days. Victorian orders are generally quicker, and Ballarat and surrounds quicker again. Express is faster than standard on most routes.
These are estimates based on how Australia Post and Aramex normally run, not guarantees. Delivery times stretch during December, after public holidays, and during weather or network disruptions.
Local delivery
If you are in Ballarat or one of the nearby towns on our run, we deliver your coffee ourselves rather than posting it. Local delivery is free on orders of $35 and over, and $5 on orders under $35. The option appears at checkout if your address is in the delivery area.
- Thursday run: Ballarat and surrounds, including Ballarat Central, Wendouree, Sebastopol, Delacombe and Invermay.
- Wednesday run: Gordon, Ballan, Warrenheip, Millbrook, Mount Egerton and Lal Lal.
Order by the day before your run and your coffee goes out on it. Order after that and it goes on the following week's run, so if you need it sooner, choose post or pickup instead.
Everywhere else, including Buninyong, goes by post. It reaches you faster that way than waiting for a van.
Local pickup
You can collect your order from the roastery at Shed 5, 10 Builders Close, Wendouree. Choose local pickup at checkout and wait for the email telling you it is ready before you come in. Please do not turn up before you get that email, because the coffee may not be roasted yet.
Tracking your order
You will get two emails from us: an order confirmation when you buy, and a despatch email with tracking when your parcel leaves us. If the despatch email has not arrived within two business days of ordering, check your junk folder, then email hello@karonfarmcoffee.com.au and we will look into it.
Wrong address
We ship to the address you enter at checkout. If you spot a mistake, email hello@karonfarmcoffee.com.au straight away and we will fix it if the parcel has not gone out. Once it has been collected by the carrier we cannot redirect it, and a parcel returned to us because of an incorrect address will need to be reposted at your cost.
Lost, delayed or damaged parcels
If your tracking has not moved for five business days, or your coffee arrives damaged, email hello@karonfarmcoffee.com.au with your order number and a photo if there is damage. We will lodge the enquiry with the carrier and get a replacement out to you. You should not have to chase Australia Post yourself.
International orders
We currently ship within Australia only. If you are overseas and want our coffee, email hello@karonfarmcoffee.com.au and we will see what we can do.
