Is Mount Buninyong suitable for my home espresso machine?
Yes. Mount Buninyong was designed for commercial café machines and refined to extract cleanly on Breville, Sunbeam, DeLonghi and other home espresso machines. It is forgiving to dial in and performs well even if your grind or dose is slightly off.
What does Mount Buninyong taste like?
Expect rich chocolate, caramel and smooth toffee sweetness with low acidity and a full syrupy body. It is bold enough for milk-based coffee and clean enough for long blacks.
Is this coffee good for milk based drinks?
Yes. It was created for café service and cuts through milk nicely without tasting bitter. It produces a strong chocolate driven profile that holds its character in flat whites, cappuccinos and lattes.
Is the flavour consistent year round?
Yes. Mount Buninyong is a fixed core range blend. While components may adjust seasonally for quality, the flavour profile remains the same. Chocolate, caramel, low acidity and a balanced finish.
Why subscribe instead of buying one off?
Subscribers save 9 percent on every bag and receive freshly roasted coffee at their chosen frequency. You will receive a reminder 3 days before payment is processed and you can adjust, skip or cancel at any time.
How often should I order coffee?
Most home espresso drinkers use 18 to 22 grams per double shot. From 1 kilogram of coffee you will get approximately 45 to 55 double shots.
For one person drinking two coffees per day, 1 kilogram lasts around three to four weeks. For two people, closer to two weeks.
Mount Buninyong holds its flavour comfortably for four to six weeks when stored well, so a two or four week subscription suits most households.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details. For local Ballarat deliveries, you will receive an email on the day your order is out for delivery.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched, changes or cancellations may not be possible.
Do you ship outside Australia?
At this stage, we ship within Australia only. We do not currently offer international shipping.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times vary depending on location. Orders are typically delivered within a few business days after roasting if you choose express post, or 4-5 days if you choose standard or 1c shipping, with regional deliveries taking slightly longer. What’s the difference between espresso roast and filter roast?
Espresso roasts are developed to perform well in the Aeropress, Stovetop & espresso machines, offering balance, body, and consistency for espresso and milk-based drinks. Filter roasts are lighter in development, allowing more origin character and clarity to shine through when brewed using methods such as pour over or batch brew.
Do you offer different grind options?
Yes. We offer a full range of grind options to suit your brewing method, including espresso, Aeropress, stove top, pour over, batch brew or Moccamaster, and French press. Whole beans are also available.
Do you provide brewing guides or coffee advice?
Yes. We regularly share brewing guides, tips, and coffee knowledge on our blog.
