A tamper that levels itself. The spring in the handle releases at the same pressure every time, and the lip on the base sits on the rim of the basket, so the puck comes out flat whether you are concentrating or making the fourth coffee before work.
Most of the inconsistency people blame on their grinder is an uneven tamp. Channelling, sour shots, one side of the puck running faster than the other. This takes that variable out of it.
